Dinner With An Owl is a free indie point and click game. After a strange letter and an invitation, the player must unlock the secrets of a strange man and escape his home.
One night at dinner
Designed and created by a single developer as part of a short game competition, Dinner With An Owl is a simple point and click story driven experience. The main character responds to an invitation to dinner from Franz Brown and finds an unsettling house and trapped inhabitants. Over a period of a few in-game days, conversations with other dinner guests, the butler and Franz uncover more of the dark horror-inspired plot. As the game's sole driving force is this plot and the hidden secret which changes the outcome of the game, it is best to go in with as little information as possible. While Dinner With An Owl is a completely stripped down game with little even in the way of point and click interaction, the short plot is engaging enough to warrant a play-through even if the game is forgotten quickly.
Dinner With An Owl is an interesting little game worth the short time needed for completion. Despite no real innovation, the story and secrets of the house are enough to hold a player's interest.
